High-quality, government-funded kindergarten for 3 and 4-year-olds in Victoria.
At Roseberry House, our funded kindergarten programs are designed to prepare your child for a confident, happy transition to school. Delivered by Bachelor-qualified teachers and guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), our play-based curriculum nurtures every child’s development in a warm and engaging environment.
What is a Funded Kindergarten Program?
In Victoria, children aged three and four can access free or low-cost kindergarten programs funded by the Victorian Government. This gives your child access to high-quality early education before they start primary school.
At Roseberry House, our kindergarten program supports children across two important years of learning – Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten.
Why Choose Roseberry House for Kindergarten?
We focus on more than just school readiness. Our programs help children:
-
Build confidence, independence, and a love of learning
-
Develop essential skills in literacy, numeracy, social and emotional learning
-
Learn through play, inquiry, and real-world exploration
-
Feel safe, supported and excited about their next steps

Why Choose a Long Day Care Kindergarten Program?
At Roseberry House, our kindergarten program is delivered within a long day care setting, offering all the benefits of a sessional kindergarten, plus more flexibility and support for busy families.
Here’s how we compare:
More Than Just Kinder Hours
Sessional kindergarten typically runs for a few hours on set days. Our program is available within our full-day care hours, giving families access to extended care from open to close, all year round – not just during school terms.
All Meals Provided
Forget packing lunchboxes! We provide nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, freshly prepared in our on-site kitchens by our qualified cooks.
Consistent Educator Relationships
Children stay in familiar environments with educators they know and trust, making for a smoother, more supported early learning experience.
One Location, Seamless Routine
There’s no need to juggle different drop-offs and routines. Your child can learn, rest and play in one nurturing space that grows with them from toddlerhood to school age.
Everything Included
Our fees include incursions, excursions, enrichment programs (like music and sport), and access to community support services – with no hidden costs for funded families.
What School Readiness Means to Us
At Roseberry House, we believe school readiness is about more than letters and numbers. It’s about helping your child grow emotionally, socially and academically so they feel confident starting school.
Wellbeing
Children develop a strong sense of agency and feel safe communicating their needs, recognising emotions (their own and others), and forming relationships with peers and educators.
Literacy
Literacy is woven into everyday learning through storytelling, books, group discussions, and early writing opportunities based on your child’s interests.
Numeracy
Through play and intentional teaching, children explore numbers, patterns, problem-solving, and early maths skills in engaging, hands-on ways.
What Your Child Will Experience in Our Program
Music Program
Weekly sessions with movement and songs linked to learning and cultural celebrations.
Excursions
Visits to local community places aligned with learning themes, at no extra cost.
Sports Program
Active weekly sessions to develop motor skills and a love for movement.

Programs like fire safety, cultural experiences, and more – all included in your fees.
